Annual Program 2024
Dear visitors,
The guiding principle of our upcoming exhibitions is the interdisciplinary annual motto for 2024, “Creating a Future Vision,” intended to give you new impulses—impulses that may seem unusual or even odd. It is an invitation to think about how we’d like to live in the future and to what extent we can shape our future ourselves. Among other things, the 2024 exhibitions were developed while keeping in mind the ways we affect our direct environment, the concrete space around us, and how we communicate with each other or against each other. At the same time, we’re also looking back at history and reflecting on our experiences and stories.
In a time when technological advances and social changes are proceeding at a furious pace, it has become more important than ever that a vision of the future is not based on individual interests alone—but is put into practice only if it also keeps the common good of humanity and of the planet in sight. Developing such a vision takes creativity, courage, and an open mind. It means thinking beyond the limits of what is familiar and exploring new possibilities.
A good way to promote a new perspective is to deliberately leave behind what we are accustomed to, and sometimes even what we have come to cherish. And thus, for the first time, we are presenting to you our annual program for 2024 in its new form, in the hope that—due to the artwork it contains—it will remain with you for as long as possible, perhaps even wind up on your wall as a poster, and, last but not least, make you feel like paying us many more visits.
We are looking forward to the year ahead and to many encounters with you!
