One-day excursion to the Ruhr area, to Oberhausen and Essen
In the framework of the exhibition THE FINAL BID
In the context of the special exhibition THE FINAL BID we offer, due to the great demand, again a day excursion to Oberhausen and Essen.
The first stop will be a guided tour of the Gasometer in Oberhausen. The exhibition there shows the beauty of nature and the influence of man on his environment. "The Fragile Paradise" takes visitors on a visually stunning journey through the turbulent climate history of our Earth and shows in impressive, award-winning photographs and videos how the animal and plant world is changing in times of the Anthropocene.
Afterwards, we would like to visit the Red Dot Design Museum Essen with you and take part in a guided tour. The museum shows the whole range of contemporary product design on five floors - from plates to refrigerators and robots to cars. The special atmosphere of the building is created above all by the impressive contrast between old and new. The museum is located in the former boiler house of the Zollverein colliery.
Participation fee per person € 80 (without food and drinks)
Register by 13 March via anmeldung@draiflessen.com or +49 (0)5452.9168-3500.
Departure Draiflessen 7:45 a.m., expected return around 8:30 p.m.
***Note: We would like to point out that some areas we will visit are unfortunately not barrier-free.
