Upcycling, or: Transforming Things!
Lecture and Workshop with Barbara Benedix
For many years now, the textile designer Barbara Benedix has worked on upcycling, focusing on products that reflect three important trends of our time: design, environmental responsibility, and individuality. In this two-part event, participants will learn the fundamental theoretical principles in a lecture, and then try them out in a hands-on workshop. Here we will use simple, sometimes very old techniques to transform used materials into small, sophisticated new things. All materials provided.
