Claudia Pahl-Wostl, professor for resources management at the Institute for Environmental Systems Research (USF) in Osnabrück, will talk about sustainability deficits in the management of water resources as one of the greatest global challenges. Climate change, population growth, economic development and loss of biodiversity, she argues, are increasing the pressure on water resources that are already overexploited worldwide.
