Skulptur Projekte Münster (Sculpture Projects Münster) is taking place this year for the fifth time. Since the first edition in 1977, Skulptur Projekte’s history has been closely linked to the idea of creating a public sphere not just with art, but also for art – and so every ten years the city of Münster transforms into a vast exhibition area for presenting contemporary approaches to art in public space.
Under the expert guidance of art historian Franziska Finke, we’ll stroll through Münster’s historic centre exploring and discovering the Skulptur Projekte’s current exhibits as well as spectacular permanent works from the forty years of the exhibition’s existence.
