As part of the CUNDA, KNÖS UND KNASPELHUTSCHE exhibition, the Draiflessen Collection is offering a day excursion to Paderborn to the Diözesanmuseum and the Heinz Nixdorf MuseumsForum.

Monasteries preserved an important part of the ancient knowledge that still shapes us today. With numerous fascinating exhibits, the exhibition “Corvey and the Legacy of Antiquity” brings to life how ancient cultural techniques - in particular reading and writing as well as ideas about politics, law, art and science - were passed on in the Middle Ages. Monks copied ancient writings, craftsmen reworked ancient originals or integrated them into their own works. Captured and shaped by the spirit of the times, such treasures tell stories and continue to pose riddles to this day.
At the Heinz Nixdorf MuseumsForum, the world's largest computer museum, the history of encryption techniques is vividly presented. From ancient techniques of secrecy to the famous Enigma machine of the Second World War to modern digital encryption methods, the museum shows how the technologies for securing and keeping data secret have constantly evolved.
