Art in the Evening: Interreligious discussion with Du’A Zeitun
as part of the exhibition IN THE BEGINNING WAS THE WORD
The famous story of the Tower of Babel from the Old Testament shows that a project can fail because people do not understand each other. Since time immemorial, mutual exchange, listening and understanding have played an important role in solving problems and dispelling misconceptions. We cordially invite you to an interfaith discussion in the Draiflessen Collection, in which a Christian and a Muslim will talk about important festivals, rites and central stories of their faith. Together they will enter into an open dialog and look for similarities and differences in Christianity and Islam.
The event is free of charge. Registration is not required.
Du’A Zeitun studied Islamic theology at the University of Osnabrück. As managing director and project manager of the Muslimische Jugendcommunity Osnabrücker Land e.V. and as a pedagogical employee of the Katholische Landvolkhochschule Oesede, she is committed to the education of young people in the field of interreligious dialog and political education. Her commitment aims to promote better understanding and respectful cooperation between different religions and social groups.
The curator's tour of the showcase exhibition is fully booked!
Our guided tour is free of charge - only regular museum admission is required.
The interreligious discussion will begin afterwards at 7:15 p.m.
The museum is open until 9 p.m. on this Thursday.
