2nd construction phase
from 14 July 2025, NRW summer holidays:
- Georgstraße closed (for cars), in coordination with the municipality
- Pedestrian and cycle traffic remains possible
- Road crossing at the Georgstraße car park will be adapted
- Access to the car park remains via Bachstraße, diversion via Neuenkirchener Straße is signposted
- Simultaneous construction work on Georgstraße roundabout: in coordination with the municipality, to minimise disruption to traffic and school routes

- Installation of an external elevator at the museum entrance to improve accessibility
- Storage of building materials in the Draiflessen parking lot
- Temporary relocation of the entrance from Georgstraße to Bachstraße
- New access to the parking lot via Bachstraße to relief the traffic congestion and ensuring a safe route to school along Georgstraße
