Dear friends of the Draiflessen Collection,
A varied program of events awaits you again in August - from inspiring workshops to special encounters.
Our Art in the Evening event will take place on August 7: Following our curator's tour, we cordially invite you to a meditation.
The meditation guided by Maria Spitz invites you to find peace and connect with your own rootedness and branching out, accompanied by gentle singing bowls. Depending on the weather, it takes place in the exhibition or in Draiflessen Park and is aimed at both beginners and advanced meditators. After the 40-minute meditation, which begins at 7 p.m. following the curator's tour, the evening ends with a cup of tea.
On August 8, a special afternoon of art will connect the Draiflessen Collection in Mettingen with the DA, Kunsthaus Kloster Gravenhorst in Hörstel. After an insight into our current three exhibitions and a coffee break together, we will continue on to Hörstel, where curator Sara Dietrich will guide us through the exhibition BIOPHILIA. Of Plants and People. A picnic together at the “Himmelstisch” in the monastery park rounds off the day.
On August 10, you can create your own mobile from a root or gnarled branch in a workshop with farmer florist Katherine Ochsenfahrt. Dried flowers and natural materials leave plenty of room for creativity - no previous experience is necessary, just the joy of creating. Materials, snacks and drinks are included, you are welcome to bring your own finds.
