Day trip to Lemgo and Tecklenburg
as a part of the exhibition MAGICAL WOMEN

As part of the special exhibition MAGICAL WOMEN, the Draiflessen Collection has organized a “magical” day trip to the Hexenbürgermeisterhaus museum in Lemgo and the historic town of Tecklenburg:

In Lemgo, we will enjoy a combined museum and city tour on the history of witch hunts. We will learn how witch trials came about, who was affected, and what impact this dark period had on life in the city. The tour will take us to authentic locations associated with witch hunts – informative and thought-provoking.

In Tecklenburg, we will immerse ourselves in the mystical stories of the town, which has numerous legendary sites that we will visit together. Marielies Saatkamp, an expert on the history of witch hunts, will accompany us and tell us about Tecklenburg's special role in this historical context, in which there were actually no documented witch hunts.
