On the occasion of the fourteenth National Reading Day, the actor and audio book reader Rainer Strecker reads from the 'Inkheart Trilogy' by Cornelia Funke, a reading about the wonder of reading: Mortimer Folchart has made his love of books his profession and is a book restorer. He nonetheless refuses to read to his twelve-year-old daughter from books – why? When an uncanny guest appears at their home one night, everything revolves around the book 'Inkheart'. It becomes clear to Meggie that her father is hiding various secrets from her. The book comes alive and Meggie becomes the linchpin in a dark struggle between reality and all too real fiction.
