Art Afternoon in the Draiflessen Collection and in the DA, Kunsthaus Kloster Gravenhorst
as a part of the exhibition MIX & MATCH

Experience a special afternoon of art that connects two fascinating exhibition venues. We’ll start at the Draiflessen Collection. The exhibition MIX & MATCH brings together the Draiflessen Collection’s archives and collection in four thematic rooms inspired by the elements of earth, fire, air, and water. This structure reveals new, often surprising connections between objects from a wide range of eras and media. The exhibition features prints, book art, photographs, films, advertising materials, as well as fashion and contemporary art from the history of C&A and the Brenninkmeijer family. It invites visitors to rediscover the collections in a playful way and to question their usual perspectives on museum objects.

Nach einer gemeinsamen Kaffeepause geht es weiter zur Sonderausstellung „WestFarbe“ im DA, Kunsthaus Kloster Gravenhorst in Hörstel. Mit einer Vielzahl verschiedener künstlerischer Positionen verdeutlicht die Ausstellung das Spektrum im malerischen Prozess vom Umgang mit Duktus, Licht und Körperlichkeit bis hin zur Gegenüberstellung systematischer Ansätze wie Farbfeldmalerei, Monochromie und konzeptueller Malerei. Video works, site-specific installations, and objects broaden the scope and offer new perspectives on painting and the phenomenon of color in particular.

This special afternoon will be rounded off with a visit to Café Clara.

The participation fee is € 26 per person.
