Excursion | 16.09.2026 – 17.09.2026
2-day excursion to Bremerhaven, Cuxhaven and Bremen
as a part of the exhibition MIX & MATCH
Under the theme of the elements earth, fire, air and water, the MIX & MATCH exhibition reveals fascinating, cross-epochal perspectives and surprising connections between the objects on display. We warmly invite you to join us on an exciting excursion that will take us to extraordinary locations and unique worlds of experience.
At the Klimahaus Bremerhaven, we will visit the new permanent exhibition ‘Weather Extremes’. On an impressive immersive journey across three floors, we experience the power of the forces of nature and the dynamics of various climate phenomena up close, aided by video, sound, special effects and a moving lift platform.
In the “Eyewitnesses” section, we meet people who have been directly affected by extreme weather or who are working to make our society more resilient to these challenges. The topic is then explored in greater depth in the short talk “Science in Focus”, which offers fascinating insights into current research and potential solutions.
In Cuxhaven, we visit the Windstärke 10 Shipwreck and Fischerei Museum. There, we learn in a striking way about the dangers sailors face, how shipwrecks occur and how harsh life on board can be. During the “Tidal Flat Taster”, we will explore the unique habitat of the Wadden Sea up close.
A special highlight of the excursion is the exclusive guided tour of parts of the Airbus Bremen space centre. Among other things, this is where the European contribution to the International Space Station (ISS) was developed. In the walk-in 1:1 scale model of the Columbus module, we gain fascinating insights into life, work and research in zero gravity – 400 kilometres above Earth.
Participation fee per person in a twin room €380* (single room supplement €60) *including all admission fees and guided tours, lunch at the Klimahaus, packed lunch on Thursday.
The number of participants is limited to 20 people.
Registration by August 14 2026 via e-Mail at anmeldung@draiflessen.com or +49 (0)5452 9168-3500.
