“To Friesland for Work”: On the Trail of Tüötten and Hollandgänger: Sneek, Sloten, Leeuwarden, and Groningen *** fully booked!
The small city of Sneek in Dutch Friesland was once an important destination for travelling merchants from Westphalia. As the European Capital of Culture in 2018, the Frisian metropolis of Leeuwarden beckons visitors with an unusual programme in the city and its surroundings. A visit in Groningen with tour of the exhibition “100 jaar de Ploeg” about the classic modern period in the Netherlands concludes the two-day excursion.
Dr Andreas Eiynck, Director of the Emslandmuseum in Lingen, will accompany the trip.
