Ludwig van Beethoven und das Prinzip der Hoffnung

“Hope sustains me, as it does half the world; through life she has been my close companion, or what would have become of me?” With this quotation from Ludwig van Beethoven, we circle back to our exhibition “Hope”.
In 2020, the 250th anniversary of Beethoven’s birth will be celebrated, both in Germany and internationally, and Bonn, the city of the composer’s birth, is taking on a central role. Participants in this excursion will visit the Beethoven-Haus in Bonn, discover the city during a guided tour, see the exhibitions “Beethoven. World.Citizen.Music” at the Bundeskunsthalle and “Salvador Dalí and Hans Arp: The Birth of Memory” at the Arp Museum Bahnhof Rolandseck, and – last but not least – attend the concert “Two ‘Even-numbered’ Symphonies”, featuring works by Beethoven, at the Oper Bonn.

Participation fee 385 € per person; registration by 16 January 2020.
