Newcomers in Concert

The new Berlin-based a cappella ensemble German Gents takes listeners along on an exciting journey through a wide range of musical eras. Founded in 2018 by singers from the Berlin State and Cathedral Choir and students from the Berlin University of the Arts, the German Gents enjoyed success almost immediately, winning the 12th International A Cappella Contest Leipzig in 2019. Together the two tenors, Thoma Wutz and Armin Horn, and the two basses, Raphael Zinser and Lukas Schulze, master the sacred and secular male-voice choral music of the Romantic period. Their repertoire also includes Renaissance music, classical modernism, barbershop music, and other musical genres.
