PODIUM Pacific Garbage Screening ... postponed
Each year millions of tonnes of plastic waste end up in the world’s oceans. After seeing more plastic than fish in the water during a scuba-diving holiday, Marcella Hansch decided to take action: she founded the start-up Pacific Garbage Screening. She and her interdisciplinary team are working to solve the problem of plastic waste in the oceans. A member of the team will talk about her vision: a future in which the oceans are clean. They'll also outline the development of the project and discuss what we as individuals can do to protect our environment.
