Monodrama by John Clancy in a production by the Landestheater Schwaben

“All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players,” says William Shakespeare. But what is it actually like to be an actor or actress? The American author John Clancy pursues precisely this question in his comic and clever monologue EVENT. An actor stands on stage under a glaring spotlight and talks to us about himself and the audience. He speaks of truth and lies, illusion and reality. EVENT is brilliant, witty, and incisive performance material, and at the same time a wonderful reflection on what theater can say about life, and what our lives have to do with theater. Visitors are invited to join a forty-five-minute guided tour of the exhibition beginning at 7:15 p.m. – the house is open for all exhibition visitors until 8 p.m.
