Description
The warm outer material of this winter coat in German children’s size 104 has a large-checkered pattern in the colors dark blue, dark green, red, and yellow. The collar, which looks like a Peter Pan collar in front and is reminiscent of a sailor collar in the back, was, like the fabric strap across the back, made of green fine corduroy. Bright yellow plush is used as a lining. Below the high-waisted, double-breasted top part, the coat widens and thus allows for freedom of movement, which is further facilitated by the balloon-like bishop sleeves. Yves Saint Laurent had designed the children’s coat for C&A a year earlier, a fact also indicated by the letters YSL on the gold-colored buttons and the label “Yves Saint Laurent enfance.”
