Heike Weber (b. 1962)
In this installation, Heike Weber places the word Glück (happiness, luck, fortune) and its radiance center stage, not as a neutral typeface, but as a personalized cursive script. For this she deliberately chose commercially available LED string lights, attaching them to a metal frame using cable ties. She thus transforms the mundane material into something fantastical. Weber intentionally draws attention to the individual experience of happiness, which means something different for each person.
