‘CANTERBUMM erzählt Euch was: …’ was the C&A children’s magazine that appeared regularly in the 1930s and 1950s and was available free-of-charge to C&A’s young customers at the company’s stores. The third publication in our OPEN UP! series is a publication that not only resurrects the stories, travels, and adventures of “Onkel Canterbumm” (Uncle Canterbumm), but also looks at the historical background, and provides tiny glimpses into C&A advertising strategies of the past.
