Father and son, teacher and pupil, brothers in spirit in the interest of impact – not infrequently a joint musical effort spans several generations, a particular kind of “community of common destiny” that unites musicians. The musicians Ludwig Güttler, Volker Stegmann and Friedrich Kircheis shed light on these special connections and relationships. And so the programme brought together Johann Sebastian Bach, his son Carl Philipp Emanuel, and as well his student Gottfried August Homilius.
