The bundle of twelve inkjet prints on paper represents a selection from the Objects of Significance group of works. This series of photographs and writings was compiled by the Düsseldorf-based artist Markus Vater over the course of several years. They show and describe what is important to him: meaningful objects, questions, relationships, and memories. Creative and philosophical, both funny and serious, he deals with essential questions related to everyday life and to our perception of the world. The artist moreover sheds light on the conditions under which art is created. Together with Markus Vater, the Draiflessen Collection published an artist’s book of the same name in 2024.
