Prints and Drawings
Alongside select European drawings of the 15th to the 17th century, the Draiflessen Collection’s holdings of works on paper consist first and foremost of prints ranging in date from the 15th to the 18th century. They include woodcuts, copper engravings, etchings (including a small number of drypoint and iron etchings) and lithographs and were created chiefly by German, Dutch and Flemish masters. The main focus of our collection thereby falls on Albrecht Dürer and Rembrandt van Rijn. These graphic holdings are complemented by an almost complete topographical atlas in individual maps, as well as a collection of portraits after Anthony van Dyck’s Iconographie.
