Rare Books & Manuscripts
In our Study Room – a storage facility, study library and cabinet exhibition space in one – we safeguard and present an extensive, distinguished collection of predominantly 15th- to 18th-century manuscripts, miniatures, incunabula and printed books. In addition to the bibliophilic treasures in the Liberna and Tuliba collections (private collections that have been entrusted to us on permanent loan), our holdings include undisputed highlights of European manuscript illumination reproduced in the form of facsimile editions. In conjunction with the Draiflessen Collection’s own collection of books, we boast one of the most important specialist libraries of 17th and 18th-century books from the Dutch Golden Age in the northern Münster region.
